I’ve just realised that the email subscription form isn’t sending the confirmation link. I’ve fixed it but if you put your email address in there …. it didn’t work and you’ll have to do it again.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted a new story. It’s not because I’ve stopped writing, it’s because I’m writing something a bit meatier.

Clocking in at roughly 13,000 words as a first draft, it sits firmly within the “Novella” category. It’s exciting to think that with a bit of spit & polish I will publish a novella.

The subject matter? Not to give too much away, but it’s a thriller exploring how robotics may affect food production, and how central mobile phones are to our modern life. The mobile phone is a central theme that comes up again and again in fun ways.

I imagine I’ll be sending out early drafts to some people in my target market in the next coupled of weeks. I’m thinking women aged 16-25 but I’ll cast a wide net and see who likes it.

Today I embark on an adventure that I have been dreaming of for quite some time. I’ve come to realise that reality is not the right canvas for my ideas, that perhaps all the nitty gritty of real life wouldn’t get in the way in story form.

So today, I start writing. Get ready for some outlandish stuff.
